Both Open and Amateur stakes were ran this weekend with the Amateur Shooting Dog starting first. Weather was mild and very warm and all in attendance were practicing their social distancing this weekend. Big thanks to our judges and to Jim Giles who took care of the dog wagon and bird planting duties.

First place in the Amateur Shooting Dog was won by Wind Chaser, PF, owned and handled by Brent Hoehns of Knoxville, IA. “Kate” had a nice forward race, and her bird work was clean and crisp. Placing second was Penrosa Hidncash, SM, owned and handled by Tim Penn of Edina, MO. “Cash” had two quality pieces of bird work to earn the second spot. Third place in the Amateur Shooting Dog was Craig’s Runin Roxie owned and handled by Craig Hiatt of Edgerton, MO. This little female caught the judges eyes as she laid out a quality ground race.

With the warmer temperatures some of the younger dogs did not complete the full running time to secure a placement.

Amateur Derby had one winner and that was Penrosa Redheaded Witch, SF, owned and handled by Brent Hoehns of Knoxville, IA. Heat of the day was very warm during her brace. “Ginny”, showed her strength, running a nice forward race with style.

Carpenter’s Touch Of Class Bo, SM, secured the First place in the Amateur Puppy. “Bo” is handled by Kevin Carpenter of Clarksburg, Mo.

On Sunday we started off with the Open Shooting Dog with Glover's Van Halen, SM, owned and handled by Jack Glover of Shelbyville, MO winning first with a five find performance.
