Tallapoosa Field Trial Club

Posted on : Sunday March 10 2019

Tallapoosa Field Trial Club held its 59th annual field trial on February 9th, 2019 at the farm of Marty and Linda Robinson. This has been the location of our annual trial for the last 14 years with new improvements each year that continue to provide for an incredible trial experience. We had a crowd of about 50 people including trial participants and spectators alike. The gallery wagon with eight bus seats was full at times as on-lookers enjoyed some very good performances by some amazingly talented birddogs. We welcome several new guest along with many who have attended and supported our trial for many years now. Our goal is simple; to host the best quality and most family friendly and enjoyable field trial experience in the country. I hope we are succeeding. We welcome anyone reading our report to come join us in the future and enjoy this great sport with us.

These grounds are nice and flat with plenty of objectives for dogs to reach out and hunt, although this year the cover was a bit taller than normal which made for finding dogs a little more challenging. To ALL of the owners and handlers who entered dogs, thank you for sticking with us through 5" of snow, frozen ponds, 30 mph winds and wind chills in the single digits.
