Tallapoosa Field Trial Club fall 2019 trial

Sixty years is a long span for most anything. The 60th annual running of the Tallapoosa Field Trial was held on Oct. 26 & 27 at Bear Creek Farms in Carrollton, GA owned by Marty and Linda Robinson. This annual weekend trial has been graced by a large number of birddogs that have had many amazing championship careers through the years. The event has become not only a revered field trial but an annual gathering and reunion of community, friends and birddog enthusiast throughout the region.
Though the forecast was calling for rain much of the weekend a great time was had by all in attendance. Saturday was a cloudy day from beginning to end and included scattered showers while Sunday was a near perfect day.
There is always so many people to thank for orchestrating a successful field trial. We want to begin by thanking all the owners and handlers that continually support our efforts. We had dogs this year from GA, AL and SC.
We also want to thank our judges, Lavon King from Rockmart, GA and David Lovern from Powder Springs, GA. Both these Gentlemen have been around the field trial sport for many years and theyre decisions were all well received.
We would like to thank the NBHA organization for providing such a successful and excellent platform for birddogs and field trials. The NBHA has always been one of the premiere trialing organizations where the emphasis remains on producing, training and competing with the best dogs in the sport. This remains today. We must also say a special thank you to the sponsors of the NBHA who make these events possible. The major sponsors of the NBHA are Purina Pro Plan, Garmin, Gun Dog Supply, Mule Brand Clothing and Gun Dog Central. Please support these generous companies anytime you can.
The Three Amigos at the foundation of the Tallapoosa club are Stanley McCain, Danny Robinson and Marty Robinson. These Gentlemen pool time and resources to be certain no detail is overlooked. We also have a number of adopted members that are always present and ready to provide a helping hand; Terry Amberson, Oscar Whitt, Bruce Mercer, Jim Crook and there are others.
And, for the true backbone behind the scenes of our trial. I have to thanks a world class support staff that makes sure every individual need is met and everyone has ample food and snack. My wife, Linda, Daughters Whitney and Carley, son-in-law Kevin, Sister Donna, Mother Mrs. Jackie and our infamous tractor driver this year, Brother-in-law Rich Chambers. The gallery wagon is always a hit and we are happy to provide it.
Our goal remains the same each year. That is to provide the most enjoyable experience as possible to all who attend. This crew understands what makes a successful field trial and they deliver. We hope you will come join us if ever you can. I promise well make you feel at home.
