NBHA 2021 Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony

National Bird Hunters Association held their Annual Meeting on July 24, at the Marriott Courtyard in Collierville, TN. Following the meeting, a shuttle bus provide transportation to the Bird Dog Museum at Grand Junction, TN. Awards Ceremony recognizing last year Dog and Handler of the Year winners, NBHA Hall of Fame Inductee’s, along with an auction and raffle was held.

NBHA 2021 Annual meeting was called to order at 9:00 AM by President Ken Sauer.

Secretary Tim Penn proceeded with the roll call of Officers and State Directors. Officers present were President Ken Sauer, Secretary Tim Penn, Treasurer Ray Brown, 1st Vice President Greg Blair, and Futurity Director Jim Ogle. State Directors were Arkansas’ Glenn Cumbie; Illinois , Jeff Hainline; Kentucky, Gary Vitali; and Missouri, Jim Ogle.

Annual Meeting minutes from 2020 were sent electronically prior to the meeting on June 13th to the Board for review. Motion was made by Greg Blair and Seconded by Gary Vitali to accept the minutes. Board Approved.


Last year's meeting minutes were reviewed and approved. Officers then gave their yearly reports.

Award ceremony was held at the Bird Dog Museum starting at 5:00 PM. Tonya Brotherton once again provided an outstanding spread of horderves and refreshments. Many of the guest made their way throughout the museum looking at the historical displays.

NBHA finalized the evening with the Hall of Fame inductees. NBHA HOF inductee dog is Hobb's Silver Belle, PF owned by Keith and Jan Foreman of Sulfer, OK. There are two people that were inducted to the NBHA HOF, Glenn Cumbie of Fort Smith, AR and the late Larry Carpenter, of Clarksburg, MO
