The 2023-2024 National Bird Hunters Association Annual Awards Banquet was another resounding success, drawing a large crowd of bird hunting and field trial enthusiasts and professionals from across the nation. Held at the prestigious National Bird Dog Museum in Grand Junction, TN, the event highlighted and celebrated the achievements of the season's most deserving award winners.
The evening began with a warm welcome from our hosts, who praised the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in the NBHA community. Attendees enjoyed a delectable meal, showcasing the best of local cuisine, and experienced exceptional hospitality that set the tone for the evening.
Recognition of this season's award winners was once again a highlight of the banquet as it is each year. Each recipient was celebrated for their outstanding contributions and achievements this field trial season representing the best competition in the walking field trial arena nationwide. The awards ceremony was filled with heartfelt speeches, applause, and a shared sense of pride and accomplishment that is customary for this event each year.
This year's fundraiser auction added another element of excitement to the evening. With high stakes and fast-paced bidding on two rarity items in the form of a puppy selection from one of three Haney's Kennel litters and stud service to top setter Erin's Big Casino. Attendees eagerly vied for an array of unique and valuable retail items as well and the competitive spirit was palpable with the auction succeeding in raising record funds to support the NBHA's ongoing efforts and initiatives.
Overall, the 2023-2024 NBHA Annual Awards Banquet was a memorable event that brought the NBHA Family together once again to celebrate excellence, enjoy camaraderie, and support the future of the sport. The National Bird Dog Museum proves time and time again to be the perfect venue, providing a fitting backdrop for an evening of recognition, generosity, and fellowship.
