The NBHA Midwest Regional Championship and companion stakes were held at the Whetstone Creek Conservation Area near Williamsburg, MO on March 18th – 20th. This year we had a smaller than normal entry due to some scheduling conflicts, but the field was made up of many champions and the competition was fierce. Following the conclusion of this Championship a companion Open Derby, Open Puppy, and Amateur Shooting Dog Stakes were held.

2022 NBHA National Open Championship returned to the beautiful grounds of West Tennessee for the 2021-2022 renewal of our National Open Championship. The West Tennessee Field Trial Club has been in existence since the early 1900’s and some of the largest and most storied field trials in history have been run over these grounds. Not to mention a who’s who of field trial royalty that grace the walls of the clubhouse and many times are part of the crowd at happy hour.

This year's Breeders Invitational Championship, Futurity, and Jerry Kilgore Puppy Classic were held on the Sportsman's Association grounds near Grovesprings Mo. We started on Wednesday February 9th and ran through Sunday the 13th. We had a total of 88 entries for all three classes. With the help of the Missouri Bird Hunters and NBHA officers and spouses we had no issues getting through these dogs in a timely manner. The dogs were on the line and ready to go. Birds were planted. Gallery wagon full of spectators. Thank you all.

We had 35 entries for this year's Futurity. Our judges were Mr. Tim Penn from Missouri. Mr. Penn scratched his entry after the draw to step in and help judge. Mr. Andy Neria from Kansas was our other judge. These are 2 very capable and confident judges that know what they are looking at. They are looking for next year and future years Champions. We started the qualifying Friday after announcing our Championship and lunch. We ran Friday and completed our 17th brace on Saturday.

This year's Jerry Kilgore drew 16 entries. With Mr. Andy Neria from Kansas and Mr. Tim Penn from Missouri sitting the saddle watching all the excitement we had a great time with these future prospects. This year's winners were outstanding with others knocking on the door.
