2026 Jerry Kilgore Puppy Classic

This event was notably affected by rainy conditions, which may have influenced the performance of some contestants. Despite the weather, several puppies excelled, demonstrating both promise and resilience.

First brace, Running With Scissors, Garry Malzone. She finished her 30 minutes handled easily and stayed forward, her race was not as strong as the top three but earned her fourth place. Guardrails Cowboy Mickey, Mike Taylor picked up at 2 minutes for interfering with a bracemate.

Second brace, Snows Daisy, Kenny Snow she moved nicely and hunted to the front, her efforts rewarded her with third place. Dublin Down, setter female, Brady Elmore went to the front, hunted hard and demonstrated top contender potential. She earned first place standing above the rest as the clear winner.

Third brace, Erin's Cisco Of Timber Creek, Chuck Leonard. Flashy pointer, capable of a big race, but didn't apply himself as well as the winners. Coon Creek's Pride Lakota, Corey Hutcheman, used the cover well, demonstrated great hunting effort and earned her second place.

Fourth brace, Dancehall Dreamer Jeff Hampshire, attractive Setter male, made some good forward cast and was a close consideration for the podium. Indian Creek Branzino, Garry Malzone, was a hard going puppy and making himself difficult to handle, he may show better another day.

Fifth brace, Hackberry Snake Lady McGee, Mike Taylor and Livewire, Chuck Maxson, complimented each other, sought independence, but time ran out for them.

Six brace, Coon Creek's Pride Ten Bears, Corey Hutcheman. Hunted nicely, had bird contact, pleasing performance but not as strong as the winners. Indian Creek Kalabar, Garry Malzone. Started strong lost track of his handler at the road and picked up at 22 minutes.

Seventh Brace, Snow's Lacey J, Kenny Snow and Rim Rocks Desert Snake Pearl, Mike Taylor. Similar efforts, responded well to handlers, but not as strong as the winners.
