2015 Midsouth Regional CH Article
The NBHA Mid-South Regional Championship and accompanying stakes were started on Jan. 31st and concluded on Sunday Feb. 1st. The Tallapoosa Field Trial Club hosted the event at the J.L. Lester WMA near Cedartown, GA. Field Trials have been held on these grounds for more than 40 years dating back to when the property was privately owned by a local cattle and crop farmer. Due to the vision of a few local sportsmen and the willingness of some State Officials the property was purchased several years ago for the primary purpose of providing grounds to contest birddog field trials.

2015 Bob Catlett Memorial Classic
We had a great weekend for a trial with temps in the high 60's. The sun was shining all three days with a slight breeze to help scenting conditions. The Robert E Talbot CA grounds looked good with cover, clearings and plenty of wild birds. The judges for the weekend would be Ken Chenoweth and Stephen Ruggles. These two gentlemen did a great job all three days. With 51 entries in seven different classes we would make judging a chore for these guys.

The weather was cool and dreary, but dry so we couldn't complain. We were very pleased with the support of all who attended trial. The format of the invitational was changed this year from years past. It seemed to be well received by those attending and we thank all again for the support. Congratulations to our Winner Joe Barton of Decatur, GA with pointer female Tattle. Joe was a first time championship contender and is off to a great start. Runner up went to Ray Brown of Paducah, KY with Starfire Supersport. This duo has won this Championship for the previous 2 consecutive seasons. Congratulations again Ray!
