The Texas Bird Hunters Assoc. (TBHA) would like to recognize the top dog for the 2009/2010 season. Our Summer meeting was held 6/26/2010 in Waco, TX at the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in conjunction with the Region 7 AFTCA meeting. Officer were elected to represent the TBHA at our National meeting coming up in August in Nashville, TN. We want to thank Charlie & Bobbie Collier for the positions held for a number of years. Awards for the winners will be at our October 15-17, 2010 “Joe Edens Memorial Classic” event slated to be held at the Lake Murray Field Trial Grounds in Ardmore, OK.

Congratulations to Robert Ecker and Mike Branscum for handling the winners of the NBHA North Central Regional Championship. Robert handled John Everett's Honky Tonk Gigolo, PM in the 16th brace to the title in the 33 dog stake. Gigolo had five finds and a strong up front race to annex this title at the Percy Priest WMA near Nashville, TN. This win gives John's dog a big lead for the NBHA Open Shooting Dog of the Year points race as well.
